Expertise

Agnès Levallois is a Senior Research Fellow at the Foundation for Strategic Research. She has been co-piloting the Observatory on the Arab-Muslim World and the Sahel since March 2016. It specialises in contemporary Arab world issues, geopolitical and geostrategic developments, terrorism and radicalisation issues.

Vice-president of iReMMO (Institut de recherche et d'études Méditerranée Moyen-Orient).

Professional experience

Agnès Levallois was Director of Information and Programmes at RMC-MO (RFI's Arabic-speaking subsidiary, 2005-2006) and Deputy Editorial Director of France 24 in charge of the Arabic antenna (2006-2009). She also worked as a Middle East expert at the National Defence Secretariat (1990-1993) before becoming head of the Arab and Persian world office at the Delegation for Strategic Affairs of the Ministry of Defence (1993-1995).

Training

Graduate of the Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations in literal and dialectal Arabic (Syrian-Lebanese).
