The FRS is organized a webinar entitled "The role of China and the US in a post-Covd-19 context: a challenge for Japan, Europe and the Indo-Pacific", which will be held online on Tuesday, October 6 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am (CET).
Tensions between the United States and the People’s Republic of China (PRC) are shaping the geostrategic landscape in the Indo-Pacific while the dramatic consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic and interrogations concerning its origins are far from solved.
This presents direct economic and security challenges to Japan, India and Europe, facing an increasingly aggressive and destabilizing China and uncertainties regarding the future engagement of the United States alongside its allies in the region, supporting the concept of a free and open Indo-Pacific based on shared values and commitment to genuine multilateralism.
