Depuis deux décennies, le panorama stratégique est notamment marqué d’une part par l’émergence d’un monde post-westphalien où se recomposent les puissances et se diversifient les acteurs de violence, d’autre part par la diffusion rapide de plusieurs technologies présentant des ruptures au plan opérationnel, notamment les technologies de l’information. Le combat terrestre est le premier domaine dans lequel se concrétise ces évolutions. Cette intervention développera ainsi ces tendances, en imaginera les évolutions probables dans les deux décennies qui viennent.

Les décennies 1990-2010 ont été celles de l'entrée massive des drones dans les combats. La lutte anti-drones devient donc maintenant une obligation au même titre que la lutte anti-IED. Avec la généralisation de l'emploi des robots civils et militaires dans les deux décennies à venir; à quoi pourra ressembler la lutte anti-robots ?

During the last two decades, the evolution of the strategic landscape has been characterized, on one hand by the rising of a post-westphalian world featuring a redistribution of power and a diversification of violent actors, on the other hand, by the rapid dissemination of technologies critical for the battlefield, particularly information technologies. Land domain is the primary warfighting domain materialising such evolutions. The brief will elaborate on these tendancies regarding land warfare and their likely evolutions over the next two decades.

After two decades of a large use of drones for military purposes, anti-drones fight is now becoming a reality. Do we have to follow the same path with the rise of robotics in the two coming decades? What anti-robot warfare would look like by 2035?
